CEM-SHIELD

CEM-SHIELD Integral waterproofing liquid admixture for concrete and mortar which is used for to minimise permeability and increase the waterproofing properties of concrete and cement sand mortars for critical applications like roof slabs and screeds, basements, external plastering, bathroom floors & walls, water tanks, sumps, drains etc.

Health and safety instructions

CEM-SHIELD does not fall into the hazard classifications of current regulations. However, it should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable protective gloves and goggles should be worn. Splashes on the skin should be removed with water. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed seek medical attention immediately – do not induce vomiting. For further information consult the Material Safety Data sheet available for this product.

Fire

CEM-SHIELD is water based and non- flammable.

Cleaning and disposal

Spillages of CEM-SHIELD should be absorbed onto sand, earth or vermiculite and transferred to suitable containers. Remnants or vermiculite and transferred to suitable containers. Remnants should be hosed down with large quantities of water. The disposal of excess or waste material should be carried out in accordance with local legislation under the guidance of the local waste regulatory authority.

Ultraset 100

Chloride Free Shotcrete Admixture

To enable a high build thickness of sprayed concrete, shotcrete and gunite without slump with minimum rebound.

Usages and Advantages

  • High build enables faster coverage with minimised slump
  • Can be applied up to 320 mm in one application to vertical surfaces and up to 220 mm overhead dependant on weight/ volume of aggregate
  • Non caustic leads to safer handling/ operating conditions
  • Low rebound – controlled set allows new material to be embedded in applied mortar

  • 28 Days strength not adversely affected

Standards Compliance

Ultraset 100 meets the requirements of ACI 506-56 (recommended practice for shotcreting – Concrete society Specification for Sprayed concrete).

Application Instructions

Mixing and Sispensing

A pumpable mix design is required to produce a high workability mix without risk of bleeding of segregation of aggregates. Supermix PC 350 shall be used to module above concrete. The correct quantity of Ultraset 100 is directly added to the concrete at the time of shotcreting.

Shelf Life

Ultraset 100 has a minimum shelf life of 6 months.

Storage Conditions

Store in dry conditions in the original, unopened container. If stored at high temperatures, the shelf life may be reduced.

Fire

Ultraset 100 is Non-Flamable.
